Key dates and deadlines for transfer students seeking admission to Brown.
| October 1, 2025 | Application Deadline |
| Application deadline for sophomore transfer applicants interested in spring 2026 entry. Your Transfer Common Application and Brown Supplement must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. (applicant's local time) on this date. The other elements of your application may be received after this date. | |
Financial Aid | |
| In order to ensure a financial aid notification is available at the time of admission, students should submit both the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and their CSS Profile by this date. Transfer applicants who are interested in applying for federal and institutional financial aid should complete both forms. | |

| Music Supplement Submission Deadline |
| Music supplements can be submitted through SlideRoom. The deadline to create a SlideRoom account is October 2. Additional instructions can be found on the Transfer Supplementary Materials page. | |
| October 8, 2025 | Video Introduction Submission Deadline |
| The deadline to submit a video introduction is October 8 for the spring entry application. Video introductions may be submitted through the Brown Applicant Portal. More information about the video introduction can be found on the Transfer Supplementary Materials page. | |
| Early October 2025 | Missing Materials Reminder |
| If required materials are missing from your application, you will be emailed a reminder to log in to the Brown portal to view which credentials have been received and which credentials are still missing. | |
| November 3, 2025 | Mid Term Report Submission Deadline |
| The Mid Term Report, found on the Common Application, should be uploaded through your Brown Applicant Portal. You should list your current courses and then ask each of your professors to provide a progress grade. More information and instructions are available on the Application Checklist. | |
| Late November 2025 | Transfer Decisions Released |
| In late November, Transfer decisions are released online. You will receive an email from Brown when your admission decision is available. | |
| Early December 2025 | Commitment Deadline for Transfer Applicants |
| Admitted students will have two weeks to accept or decline their place. Extension requests are not considered except in cases where an applicant is updating or completing documents for financial aid. Please note that Brown does not have an enrollment deposit. | |
| January 6, 2026 | Final Transcript Deadline |
| Enrolling transfers for the spring of 2026 must submit their official fall term 2025 transcript by this date. If your current institution's scheduled grade release date does not allow you to meet this deadline, please email transferadmission@brown.edu before December 15 and provide the expected arrival date of your official final transcript. | |
| Mid-January 2026 | Orientation |
| Transfer Orientation is required of all new transfer students and is typically held in mid-January, approximately one week prior to the start of Spring classes. Exact dates will be provided by the TRUE Office. |
| March 2, 2026 | Application Deadline |

| The Mid Term Report is a self-report form found on the Common Application. You must download and complete this form yourself, then upload it through your Brown Applicant Portal. Quarter system students should submit an updated College Transcript that includes final grades for their winter quarter classes by the deadline at the left and then submit a Mid Term Report with progress grades for their spring quarter courses by April 17. Quarter system students should not submit winter grades via the Mid Term Report. More information and instructions are available on the Application Checklist. | |
