Leo Caplan

Biography

Hi! I’m Leo, a junior in the Class of 2027 from Short Hills, NJ, double-concentrating in Business Economics and Political Science. I’m fascinated by how markets, law, and public policy interact and shape everyday life. Beyond academics, I serve on the College Curriculum Council, the Student Conduct Board, and as a Meiklejohn Peer Advisor. I also conduct research at the Watson School on political socialization and education policy and work with TAMID, where we consult for and invest in Israeli start-ups. My summers have taken me from Capitol Hill, where I interned in the U.S. House of Representatives, to Tel Aviv, where I worked as an early-stage investment analyst at Pitango Venture Capital. When I’m not studying or working, you can find me trying new coffee spots around Providence or mapping out my next travel adventure.
