Autumn Wong
Biography
My name is Autumn Wong (she/her), and I'm a senior Contemplative Studies concentrator on the pre-medical track from Jupiter, Florida. I want to be an astronaut or OBGYN (I always say space, babies, or space babies!) I love research! I’m passionate about maternal health and aerospace medicine, which I've explored through my work as a certified birth doula and the NASA Rhode Island Space Grant on Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for long-term space travel. I have also done projects on dance therapy and the effects of intermittent fasting for longevity. I plan on taking a gap year between Brown and medical school and continuing my Public Health research in Kigali, Rwanda as well! On campus, I am a second-year Community Coordinator for a First-Year residential hall. I love to meditate with the Brown Meditation Community on the greens across campus (you’ll probably see me napping on the greens, playing volleyball, or meditating). |
